Can you believe Carrie Reynolds, host of the Hippocratic Hustle Podcast, still wanted to talk to me after our “feminist rant” about women in male-dominated fields? Our conversation kept flowing when we realized we both had creative, budget-friendly weddings. We each did this at different stages of life and for different reasons. In episode 98, we chat about budget weddings. We discuss why to even bother sticking to a budget. We talk about some of the hurdles we faced in doing so, and some of the ways you might consider saving on your wedding or next event.
This conversation was spawned by my guest post on The White Coat Investor Blog. In “You can’t wish your student debt away,” I wrote about some of the cultural forces that drive young doctors further into debt.
I really hope you enjoy our episode, and all the Hippocratic Hustle Podcast has to offer. It’s an innovative enterprise I’m happy to be a part of! Here’s the link to the episode page for our girlfriends’ chat about budget weddings:
By the way, in case you missed it, our original conversation about women in male-dominated fields (i.e., most of medicine) can be found here!

The path can be riddled with failures, even if you're doing it right. In this recording, I share some of my gaffes with you.
